UK Farmers Markets ("we", "the directory") operates the website at farmers-market.org.uk. This page explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Listing data: market names, dates, organisers, stallholder names — public information about UK farmers markets that visitors can search and read.
- Suggestion submissions: when you suggest a market, we record the form fields plus your email address so we can follow up.
- Newsletter sign-ups: if you subscribe via the footer form, we store your email until you unsubscribe.
- Claim verifications: when you claim a listing, we store your email and a verification token.
- Analytics: we use a privacy-friendly self-hosted tracker. We don't store IP addresses; visitor identity is a daily-rotating salted hash so we can count uniques without identifying anyone.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your email with third parties.
- We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
- We don't store credit card details (paid tiers — when launched — use Stripe).
